The Power of Positive Thinking

Does it really matter whether or not we have a positive outlook in life? Does it pay to be thankful?

Teaching can be a stressful--although rewarding--profession. Some teachers go through life with the ''cup half full' syndrome and often burn out while others look at life more positively no matter what comes along. Does it really matter how we think as long as we get the work done?

In the Bible God has given countless admonitions to be thankful even in adverse circumstances. Does it really matter? Why would he give us such strange advice? Current research is starting to unveil the wonders of how God created our minds and bodies.

Application

Think of two or three things that you are thankful for and share them with your partner. When you are tempted to dwell on the negative side of life, try to be thankful for something good. You can't be stressed and genuinely thankful at the same time!

Prayer

As is my habit, I'm praying for you all every day. Take courage and be thankful! Move forward in strength and faith. Have a great day!
