Day 3 Topics and Activities

Today we will learn how digital storytelling can be used in any grade or subject by you and your students.

Devotional: The Power of Positive Thinking

1. YouTube

  • Explore YouTube and Teacher Tube.
  • Search for schools, NAD PR videos on Adventist education, critical issues you are interested in, how-to videos, etc.
  • Read this review of the top video sharing services to find the best one for you. (Thanks, Dan, for sharing!)
  • Reflect: What is the power, attraction, and value of videos?

2. Group Brainstorms: Each group member will share their initial project ideas--however undeveloped they may be--and the group will brainstorm ways to further develop them.

3. Digital Storytelling: Today we will explore resources on Digital Story Telling and will do a team digital storytelling activity. Have fun!

4. Group Project: Start brainstorming about what you think Adventist Education 2.0 should be. Be ready to share your vision with the class on Thursday afternoon.

5. Academic Controversy: Should social networking tools be used in the classroom to promote learning?

6. New Directions: Technology Trends Inching towards Schools - Find out what the trends are.
